Announcing Tarotpy
workshops, groups, and trainings:

Pioneered in 1983 by Lauren Z. Schneider, M.F.T., Tarotpy® uses the rich symbolic imagery of Tarot, Dream Cards, Soul Cards and other archetypal images to lay the unconscious on the table and make conscious that which is vital for emotional, physical and spiritual growth. Tarotpy is a highly effective method for therapists, coaches, educators, tarot enthusiasts and anyone interested in gaining insight, clarity and transformation. Tarotpy reveals our inner landscape and awakens us to a sense of wholeness where conscious and unconscious, dreaming and waking, psyche and matter are interconnected.

Introduction to Tarotpy Part 2: Saturday, TBA

Tarotpy workshops provide theory, demonstration and hands-on to practice of the Tarotpy method in a small group (limited to eight participants). Introduction to Tarotpy Part 1 demonstrates the basic principles of how to read images. Part 2 teaches how to create and work a Tarotpy layout. In each workshop, participants are invited to pull cards and gain feedback in response to a question or concern.

Each workshop meets qualifications for three (3) continuing education credits for LMFT’s, LCSW’s, LPCC’s, and LEP’s) as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

“I love the course and love the way Lauren presents the information and her gentleness. Very generous with time, knowledge and spirit. I enjoy all information on symbols, bringing our eyes and perceptions to the big and little details, colors, implicit and explicit.” - Dr. S. Ph.D. psychotherapist.

The Training and Certification Course is for psychotherapists, coaches, educators, healers, tarot enthusiasts and laypeople who are interested in using Tarotpy with others. This advanced training will provide participants with the skills to use the Tarotpy method of psychotherapy with clients, as a lay healing practitioner, and as a personal contemplative practice. The training will cover various techniques, such as tracking unconscious process (verbal and non-verbal cues); creating a layout, working dreams with Tarotpy, creating a Progressive Layout in order to visualize new possibilities and solutions.

For licensed mental health practitioners (LMFT’s, LCSW’s, LPCC’s, and LEP’s), 4 CE units will be awarded upon completion of an evaluation for each module. (CE units are not awarded for breaks or meal breaks) The complete course offers a total of sixteen (16) continuing education credits.

The Training and Certification course consists of four (4) sessions. Each session is 4 hours of instruction from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (which allows for two fifteen-minute breaks and a half-hour lunch break).

Each session includes:
1. Lecture with case studies.
2. Demonstration of various techniques.
3. Lab - a supervised practice in which all participants alternate as facilitator and “client.”

“This course was beautifully presented, a great opportunity to learn more ways to work with clients…By far one of the best trainings as I walked away with a completely new “tool” that will benefit clients, rather than a feeling that I had to participate in a training to gather CEUs.” - A.S. Psychotherapist
